Pricing this one is abit on the difficult side but i figured i would start here and go from their.
This is a BEAST of a motherboard supports dual socket 2011 cpus and is the only mobo for this socket that will let you overclock them (bclk oc) I currently run dual e5-2670's on it and it handles every task i throw at it with flying colors. I have tested it with MANY operating systems including, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012 R2, win 10, ESXI 6.0 (majority of time), and Proxmox (basic testing) all of which it was COMPLETELY stable. However, this motherboard does have some damage in both of the sockets. socket 0 is missing 3 pins all of witch are redundant I believe they are all grounding pins. socket 1 is missing about 5 and some of those are redundent but some of them are related to dimm 4. dimm 4 of socket one does not work leaving you with only 11 out of the 12 dimms. This is the only damage that effects the functionality of the mobo the only other "damage" is VERY small and in no way effects the preformance or look of the mobo. Currently this is the only on I could find for sale anywhere and figured i would put it on the market in case anyone was interested. This is used in my daily rig and i use it for everything from virtualization to CAD and gaming with zero issues.

would like to keep until i sell the sr-x as its a important part of my main rig.

My Bitcoin Mining Project and MRIP

EDIT: Everyone, I totally f'd up on GPU's that I would have by end of June. I just wrote a quick VBS script that shows I'll only have 22 (15+7) by end of June. Not too shabby, but definitely not 48. Just wanted to post an update. Feel free to use the script!
So I've posted here a few times in the past. Now I'll detail what I'm doing a little further and try to help others.
Right now I'm working with 5x 7950's, 3x 7850's, a 6750, and 3x GTX 580's (my gaming rig). My hash rate is about 4,500 MH/s. I started this project using the DRIP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dividend_reinvestment_plan) principles in mind. I call this MRIP (Mining Reinvestment Plan). The plan is to reinvest all bitcoins mined into more mining hardware. Today I just purchased two more 7950's that are due to arrive tomorrow. Note that these two cards were purchased with bitcoins that were mined. This should bring my hash rate up to about 5660 MH/s, which will let me purchase another card next monday. The plan is every time I have enough to buy another card, I withdraw the bitcoins and convert it into cash. At this rate I'm hoping to have about 48 additional 7950 cards by the end of June or about 33,000 MH/s (33GH/s).
To those I haven't gotten back with about hardware that I'm ordering, I do apologize. I'm using ported 7950's. I STRESS ported cards (ported on top, other on bottom) because they throw the heat out of the chassis. When clustering 12 cases together (4x12=48 cards) it's not ideal to "just leave the side off and hope it's cool it enough". These cases will be slammed up against each other. Going to back to hardware, I still haven't decided on a locked feature set - meaning I don't know what I'm going to buy (mobo, ram, cpu, psu, etc). Ideally I want to keep the core system down to about $70/PCI-e slot, but I have to factor in space (hashing density too).
I say this because hardware pricing is always changing, but I want to lock the specs down eventually because it'll be easy to administer. Having 12 like systems will be easier to deploy than 12 totally different systems (all I have to do is image them). Being a net/sys admin I'll probably administer them with a PXE boot image (which I plan on making that publicly available along with the system specs). Anyways I apologize about that.
I run an IT consulting company on the side and thus I have A CRAP LOAD of old machines with a working PCI-e slot (or two or three). I'll be using these up and then will start building out a system.
Going back to mining, I'm not sure what ASIC's have in store for us. The difficulty could rise so much that by end of June I only have 4 more GPUs instead of 48. My hope is that the difficulty will not go up that high as ASIC's are still very hard to come by and really don't make a good investment case right now (or then). Looking at the difficulty graphs, TH/s seem to be leveling off in the near future - but only time will tell! Let me know if this helps! FYI I have put $0 into this so far, as I've been using old hand-me-down GPU's...

EDIT 2: A lot of you have mentioned why not buy an ASIC or aren't you afraid the difficulty will skyrocket?! I just don't see that happening soon, and this post makes my case quite nicely. They're even assuming that Butterfly Labs will start shipping in quantity lol

Edit 4: Just got another 7950 in! Bringing my total hash rate up to a 7,800 MH/s peak! It should settle down though to the high 6,000 range...
Ok, now my mining pool is messing with me. How is this even real?! I mean I'll take the PPS, not complaining or anything!

I have three gigabyte windforce gpu's and two sapphire 7970 cards. For some reason I cannot get my rig to boot with 4 gpu's or more. I got my rig to boot into win8.1 a day ago with 4 gpu's but after restarting it, It refused to post again. I have risers on all the slots and have tried configurations with the gpu's in different slots. I have jumped the A1 and B17 pins on two of the 1x pci-e slots (last two 1x slots furthest from the cpu) and jumped the A1 and B81 pins on three 16x pci-e slots. I've tried configs with two 280x gpu's on 16x risers and with two 7970 gpu's on 1x risers. I've also tried three 280x gpu's on 16x risers and one 7970 gpu on a 1x riser. I've tried many similar configs but I have had little to no luck. Im using dual psu's with the add2psu adapter. They're the same evga 1000w psu's. All the risers are powered too. And I do receive 5 beeps as an error code through the mobo speaker when I try to boot sometimes. If not, the fans just get loud and the system never boots. All the graphics cards are plugged into the primary psu and so are all the molex cables powering the gpu risers. The second psu only has a single 24 pin cable being plugged into the add2psu adapter.

Expected hash rates (12 mhs on 7970s?)

Hey guys, so I'm just starting mining eth (I mined bitcoins back with 5870s, but I haven't done anything since that), and I'm trying to figure out current hash rates. I have 2x 7970s in the current rig and am only getting 12mhs a piece using claymore on win 7 while everything I have seen online is saying around 20 mhs for them. I have found this may be due to the increased dag size (though I have 3gb a card, so I'm not sure). Is this expected? If it is, what are current expected hash rates per (popular) card after the day increase?

SHA256 with ASIC compared to Scrypt with GPU

this is the very basic for latecomer always doesn't understand.
i keep seeing they insist on mining bitcoin with SHA256 ASIC, i know its fun, its fun to see you generate money out of thin air, but thats not how we do it today because SHA256 ASIC era are gone, its very expensive playing field right now, if you insist want to mine some bitcoin, you should start mining using GPU! why?
lets calculate profitability of your SHA256 ASIC, and lets make it really easy by assuming some factor :
now go here you will see you will get 1 BTC in about 75 days right now (see the 2nd column from the rightmost), this value is not correct since it does not account for difficulty increase within 75 days, bitcoin difficulty are increasing about 35% in 2 weeks, thats about 70% per month, you will see the correct calculation is here which you will never get 1BTC within a year, and after 6 months your ASIC doesn't generate bitcoin anymore
now lets compare it to GPU miner for Scrypt mining, which i use realistic assumption here
now go here, you will see that on the most profitable coin (first row) you will get 1 bitcoin for about 30 days (its 45 days faster than SHA256 ASIC), how about difficulty increase within these period, this factor is not as scary as bitcoin, lets see difficulty chart for LTC here, you will see that the diff is up and down, by calculating the data history for 1 year, you will get that LTC difficulty increase is about 3% per month on average (this is 25x smaller than bitcoin difficulty change rate), so coinwarz data is not too much way off here by not take into account of difficulty increase
TL;DR;
note: this calculation are made in worst case scenario for GPU compared to best case scenario for bitcoin ASIC
thats just prediction and calculation, things will go wrong right? lets see the report from my own GPU mining rigs here, see 2nd sheet (RIG1-Report), this is my earning report day to day in BTC (already running since december 2013), my rigs cost about 2000$ (this is 2nd hand 6x AMD 7970 for 4.2MH/s) and will ROI within 50 days from start if my calculation are correct

Resurrected my old Bitcoin rig for some dedicated LTC mining, FINALLY got it running stable after some serious procrastination studying for finals -__-

Don't listen to anyone who says XFX GPUs are junk; maybe their firmware is, I won't argue that... but using the Gigabyte BIOS above I was able raise my hash rate to ~700 on each card @ 1000/1375 using around 450 watts, vs. ~550 on each card @ 1200/1500 using around 650 watts on the stock firmware!

I took the plunge - 2x 7970's on their way for potential rig - I have no idea what I'm doing - Help appreciated!

So since this past Spring break, my brother in his all powerful insider knowledge on this strange thing named BitCoins introduced me to this bandwagon. I've since joined in and bought all I could muster with the funds in my bank without ruining myself and have thus far reaped a beautiful profit that my wife deems pleasant. This is, of course, something EXTRAORDINARY. Ahem. So I decided to wager my trust I've earned with her with said investment, and have decided to use a few more funds to build a mini miner. Obviously this won't be the mega tank that you see all over Youtube, Just a simple machine that may have the potential of 1.6GH/s is my hope.
So this is what I've bought so far:
Total thus far after Rebates & Selling Games: ~$1300 USD
Estimated 1.6GH/s with profits beginning in ~85 days (Before crash, of course XD - Now who knows!)
Great thing is if all this goes kaput, I'll at least be able to resell it all! :D
I have a monitor around for initial setup, and all the other obvious peripherals. What I am in need of are some tips or links in setting these 2 guys up. I'm somewhat new to Building a PCI-E Rig, but I'm sure its just as simple as plugging it all in, which I've done countless times before. I know that if I'm on Linux I won't need any dummy plugs for the DVI outputs on the other cards for it to be recognized by the OS. Can it be run purely all on a USB drive? That's one thing I'm a little unsure of.
Mostly my questions consist of:
I don't care much for people bantering about how difficult it is now to mine, or how ineffective this might be, I've read my share about that. I plan on just having this run in the corner of my little apartment for a few months while I go to school/work/walk the dog/etc... I would like tips or any insider info on other fellow 7970'ers on how to maximize my performance with these two cards at my disposal. And of course those who do help me in my time of need and once it's all beautiful and vampiric-sparkly like will get Brownie Points in the afterlife.
Last computer I built was back in 2004 so that I could play Half Life 2. And I was on a budget back then too. So I'm not too savvy with all this new cooling hardware and techniques as I've never had to deal with things that exceeded 4x AGP.

Thus far I have only received my two 7970's and boy do they look beastly. I've never held a card that manly before.
2nd Update
Everything came in! Goodness it's difficult to do a headless Linux Box! for sake of time, I think I'm just going to buy a cheap sata harddrive.
3rd Update
So here's the final photo of it running with 2xx7970's
I'm still waiting for the riser cables to come in to mount the other 3 cards.
I haven't uploaded the videos of me building it all just yet (btw I sucked at putting it all together XD)

I'm new to mining. How long will I take to break even?

With 2x 7970 & 1x 280x on my rig, how long will I take to make US$1500 (or 2 Bitcoin) worth by mining scrypt altcoins, and mining what coin?
I heard of Coinwarz but still can't figure out how to calculate my profitability.
Help!
Any rough estimation will be good to get me started. Thanks!

New to mining litecoin I need some help please.

Hi,
I had been mining bitcoin as a hobby while block erupters were still profitable. Now I have an interest in litecoin I have seen a lot of posts about people optimizing their mining and cgminer in general. I have been using Guiminer scrypt and I feel like I am not squeezing as much performance as I could. I have no idea how to set up cgminer and it confuses me even more when I have to setup different model cards in a single rig. If you guys could help me out get the best performance it would be greatly appreciated.
What I currently own and the hash they are creating:

In the pool I joined it seems that it translates to 1.2LTC estimated earnings per round.

Questions on the current status of GPU mining

So I've been following bitcoin for about a year now and really would like to get into mining before the ASICs hit. I've been considering a 3x 7950 or 2x 7970 rig. Is this a smart move? I have money for the rig available right now but would it be worth it??
